“The Person Behind Your Care”

Meet Rachel, RN Experienced nursing. Familiar support. Care centered around you.

The first days after surgery can feel overwhelming. Once you leave the clinic, questions, discomfort, limited mobility and everyday tasks can quickly become more difficult than expected. Rachel provides personalized postoperative nursing support in the comfort and privacy of your home.

Rachel is a registered nurse and co-founder of WorkHorse Recovery & Wellness. She brings seven years of nursing experience, including intensive care and medical-surgical care at OHSU and other major Pacific Northwest hospitals.

When Rachel accepts a case, she personally provides the scheduled nursing care. Patients can speak with her before their procedure, understand who will be entering their home and prepare a care plan based on their surgeon’s instructions and individual recovery needs.

What Rachel brings to your recovery

Experienced Clinical Support
Postoperative observation, discharge-instruction reinforcement and appropriate wound, dressing and drain support within the agreed nursing plan.

Practical Recovery Assistance
Mobility support, recovery-supply organization, simple meal preparation and limited tidying of the patient’s immediate recovery area.

One Nurse. Personal Attention.
Your scheduled care is provided by Rachel—not an unfamiliar rotating caregiver—so your support feels personal, consistent and thoughtfully planned.

Care is based on availability, the agreed nursing plan and the patient’s surgical instructions. Rachel’s services support—not replace—the surgeon, emergency care or other prescribed medical treatment.

Each program is built around the client’s current abilities, written medical restrictions and personal goals. Our trainers provide thoughtful progression, consistent support and a clear path forward—without requiring clients to navigate a crowded gym.
